Preservation
Natural beauty and pioneer history are the hallmarks of Anderson Creek Retreat. Working with our planners, Reece Hoopes and Fincher, we have preserved botanically sensitive areas, watersheds and pioneer heritage sites. These permanently protected places are connected by a network of trails so they can be enjoyed by families and friends.
Anderson Creek Retreat’s covenants ensure that the land will be managed for the long-term benefit of both the environment and the property owners.
Home Sites
Our planners, Reece Hoopes and Fincher, allow the natural topography to determine the location of private cottage sites. Grouped in several settlements or “camps”, cottage sites either adjoin or are near green space corridors and preserves. With the help of Ed Daugherty and Associates, landscape architects, and the Smith Dalia architectural firm, cottages are sited to minimize their impact on the land.
Architectural Guidelines
The Anderson Creek Retreat architectural guidelines encourage cottage designs that respect the architectural heritage of the region. Anderson Creek Retreat encourages the “vernacular” or regional house styles that were shaped by a practical understanding of natural forces and the technology of the time, a style that typically requires the use of native materials, simple detailing and common sense features.
